Where Can You Own a New Home in Honolulu Like a Designer Hotel Suite with Ocean Views – for $1M?

I’ve heard so much about the new trendy Ward Village neighborhood in Honolulu, but I thought the homes were all penthouses in the $20 million range, so it wasn’t really “on my radar.” I went over to see the model homes and find out more about the new condos that are currently offered in the under $1M range and was pleasantly surprised! There is a wide choice of different options available for full ownership starting at $567,900 — all the way up to $22,800,000 — with everything in between. All owners benefit from the resort-like amenities. You can live, work, shop and play right here.

Ko’ula – Luxury Condos in Ward Village

The Ko’ula tower on the makai side (ocean side) of the property is currently offering new, ocean view homes for sale in the million dollar range. This upscale tower, which will be completed in 2022, features Four Seasons-style designer interiors and a warm mid-century modern Hawaiian design.

One-Bedroom Condos with Ocean Views

There are one-bedroom homes on the sides of the Ko’ula tower with ocean views available now, priced around $1M. There is one remaining 1 bedroom with direct ocean views at the Ko’ula tower listed at $1,330,000. You can lock in the prices now and buy directly from the developer while you wait for the move-in date. A 20% deposit is required once you have signed and agreed to all of the terms. What’s not to like about new construction and ocean views in Hawaii?

Affordable Studios and Two-Bedroom Units

The A’ali’i tower, currently under construction on the mauka (mountain) side of the property, is the known for its smart design and minimalist, clean look. There are two-bedroom homes currently offered for $960,000 in this tower. The higher floors at this tower have fantastic ocean views and there is a one bedroom currently available priced at $1,146,000.

The studios priced in the mid $500,000 range in the A’ali’i tower are essentially like owning your own hip hotel room! Although the studios are 349 square feet, the appliances are built-in the cabinetry and, along with the mirrors and sleek white materials, make the space seems bigger. Plus there is an additional outdoor lanai area. The condos come fully furnished down to the wine openers and super-hip beach towels. Maintenance fees are reasonable for a place with so many amenities; around $525 monthly for the studios. This A’ali’i tower is under construction now with move-in dates in 2020.

Resort-Like Amenities

The amenities at Ward Village include swimming pools (one is glass bottom!), gyms, lounges, lobbies, open areas, security, concierge service, health clubs, medical service, fantastic restaurants and more. Some of the details that stand out are the clean sidewalks with outdoor music and the hip, air-conditioned market place… not to mention the really good coffee and tan people holding yoga mats! I heard there is a free yoga class on Thursdays… Besides fine dining like Merriman’s, there is a movie theater and a Whole Foods in the village. You won’t even need a car; just a golf cart…and maybe a boat.

This Howard Hughes development is centrally located “in town” on 60 acres near the ocean, beaches, and harbors in Kaka’ako, Honolulu. I love the fact you can buy a new home directly from the developer and lock in the prices now!  Let me know if you’d like up-to-date pricing or more information. I can help you navigate the system at Ward Village as your dedicated buyer’s agent.

One design element I liked best about the model homes was the surf photography by my dad!
