With deep roots in the ocean lifestyle, Maui is more than just my home. My father, John Severson, an artist, devoted surfer, and founder of Surfer Magazine, took our family on epic surf trips and Swiss Family Robinson-style journeys through the South Pacific on the quest for the perfect wave before settling down on Maui in the early '70s, to paint and surf… I enjoyed a bohemian childhood, attending Haleakala school and Seabury Hall.
After graduating in Communications from UCSD, I moved to Paris (opposite of Maui!), where I lived and worked for 9 years, eventually becoming the Art Buyer for Yves Saint Laurent, although I would return home to Maui every year. In 2003 I moved back as I finally realized my dad had the vision: Maui is the amazing spot we have all been searching for.
Today, my husband and I live in Puamana, Lahaina, on the West side of Maui, speak French with our bilingual daughter Zoë, surf, paint, swim and enjoy life in our island home. We support the Surfrider Foundation and Maui Preparatory Academy. Sevo ended his planetary journey on Maui in May of 2017 and my mother, Louise, an accomplished designer of beautiful textiles, splits her time between Napili and Spreckelsville.

Showing a property and showing how to meet the particular person or family's needs is the key to giving that customer the life that they have dreamed about for maybe a year or 30 years... Well that was the greatest choice I ever made because Anna was the most professional real estate person that I have ever met in my entire life. I graduated in finance and real estate and my father was a real estate agent all of his life and this lady did everything and beyond when the other players in the transaction dropped the ball, she picked it up and carried it across the goal line. It was a very complicated contract because of my multiple businesses and international businesses but she cut through that and made everyone understand exactly what was going on with my personal assets and income to get the deal done. I am already in negotiation for another property For 10 million dollars with Anna because she is probably the best real estate agent in all of Maui and if anybody wants to call me or asked me I will explain in detail the amount of effort she did on every part of this transaction which was Very complex and she did it professionally with a great positive attitude and a great knowledge of all the real estate in Maui. Her Family is one of the legends and mainstays of the history of the Hawaii.
I’m having trouble putting this on the Zillow thing because maybe it’s too many words I don’t know but I guess they’re a bunch of butt heads how can I get this out on Zillow so it tells about the experience I had with you. What should I do should I put this on the website? ... you are the oracle of real estate on Maui.
Anna made our desire to “someday own a home in Maui” a reality. Anna’s firsthand knowledge of the area, the microclimates and the different properties was invaluable in finding our dream property. With the COVID- 19 lockdown, Anna had to be our eyes and ears. She made multiple visits to the property, taking photos, videos and meeting with contractors since we could not. Once we were in contract she made sure we stayed on track, pushing when needed and being patient and positive the rest of the time. I would highly recommend Anna
