The MACC presents Ke Kaua O Ka Lahui: The Life of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaʻole Piʻikoi. This play written by Victoria Nalani Kneubuhl and produced by the Hawai’i Pono’ī Coalition debuted at ʻIolani Palace in the fall of 2022. Prince Kuhio was a controversial leader. The intention of this play is to bring light to some of the challenges we still face today in our personal lives and community. A discussion with a Hawaiian scholar will follow the performance. This event will be a collection site for donations to the Maui Foodbank to benefit victims of the wildfires.
