Lanikeha at Kaanapali Golf Estates will always hold a special place in my heart. About 10 months ago, when I first met my girlfriend, soon-to-be-fiance, Megan, we went on an amazing two hour walk from her house in Kaanapali Golf Estates down the hill and to the southerly direction towards Lanikeha. The moon was nearly full, the stars were amazing, and young love was in the air.
Maui seemed so close to the gods that King Kamehameha III gave his Lahaina residence a name meaning “lofty heaven” or “legendary part of heaven” Lanikeha.
Along the slopes of West Maui’s Mt. Kahalawai, “the house or place of water,” the 110 acres of Lanikeha overlooks the tranquil Pacific Ocean and the seriously underrated mountains of West Maui. This is an aerial photograph of the Lanikeha clubhouse from my proprietary collection that I have on record.
The $10 million dollar Lanikeha clubhouse is for the exclusive use of Lanikeha owners and provides a beautiful setting for neighbors to meet and enjoy the pool, spa, BBQ area, and workout room. If you didn’t already pick up on it—this is one of the most amazing places on all of Maui to watch the sunset.
This facility elegantly offers amenities such as a gracious welcoming lobby, an inviting lounge to relax or socialize, and an entertainment room with kitchen facilities—all surrounding a grass courtyard.
In addition, you will be able to enjoy pool and fitness pavilions. A large swimming pool with a waterfall and hydro-spa will overlook the famous Ka’anapali sunsets with vistas into the Ka’anapali Resort, the Pacific Ocean, and the Islands of Lana’i and Moloka’i.
86 Kaulele Place (MLS# 342825) (the house on the left) with approximately 3,000 sq. ft. of living area and a 30 ft. wall of glass that disappears into the walls, this indoor-outdoor style of living is the most desired and suits the Lanikeha life.
104 Anapuni Loop (MLS# 343414) (the home with the pool), is a Tuscan villa located in Lanikeha, which was originally listed at $5,995,000 and is now down to $4,299,000. This a very large home of almost 6,000 sq. ft. and has absolutely unobstructed views as this is one of the best locations in the entire subdivision.
124 Anapuni Loop (MLS# 347306) (the home to the right of 104 Anapuni Loop) is new on the market this week. This is a partially completed home that is 4 bed/4 bath and is offered at $3,495,000.
784 Anapuni Loop (MLS# 336425) is arguably the best deal in the neighborhood. This home just had $200,000 price reduction today, and is now down to $2,395,000 after originally starting at $2,849,000.
Although this home sits on the top row of the subdivision, it has fantastic views (granted there are no homes built in front of it right now). Nevertheless, the lot has enough elevation over the ones in front of it that the views should be well protected.
667 Anapuni Loop (MLS# 344512) is another gorgeous home in Lanikeha offered at $2,095,000. I really like the warm tropical tones and materials that are utilized throughout this masterfully built home.
In conclusion, what sets Lanikeha apart from the other homes in Ka’anapali Golf Estates that I previously blogged about is the fact that this neighborhood is as private as you are going to get in Ka’anapali, the lots are larger (1/4 acres to 1 full acre lots), the roadways as well as walkways, and just the way the subdivision is laid out defines Maui luxury, and that you have the exclusive use of the clubhouse.
If you are feeling a very strong attraction to Lanikeha, but would like to build a custom home of your own, I would be happy to educate you about the current inventory of vacant lots in the subdivision.
There is a lot of inventory available and some of these lots are being offered for up to 70% of what they last sold for. Consider a lot like 627 Anapuni Loop (MLS# 345556) (pictured above) a listing of mine that is a bank owned/REO/foreclosed property. I have fantastic connections with local architects and builders who would be happy to be of assistance to you.
If you’re looking to buy or sell in any Lanikeha at Ka’anapali Golf Estates or if you have any additional questions/requests, I’m here to help.
