Honolulu Surf Film Festival is Back, in Virtual Format!

The Honolulu Surf Film Festival is back for 2020 in a new virtual format, and is completely free to the public! This event is presented by the Honolulu Museum of Art and is something that I look forward to every year. Hawaii Life has been a big supporter of this event in the past, having a “Hawaii Life” day at the event hosting a film for the entire company.

Hawaii is the birthplace of surfing, so it’s only fitting that this event takes place in Honolulu every year. Independent filmmakers telling their surf-related story in a rich cinematic way. Most are usually not what you expect, so be prepared to be pleasantly surprised by the content and storylines.

The event happens between July 18th and August 2nd. All film screenings and online events will be free to the public and live-streamed in Hawaii Standard Time. Each film can be accessed via a live stream video player on each of the individual program pages. More info and screening times here.

Get your stoke on, make some popcorn, and enjoy!
