4th of July Events on Oahu

It’s finally starting to heat up. These last couple of weeks, we hit the 90s! Summer is here, and it’s time to enjoy these 4th of July celebrations around town. Hi, this is Fawn Bertram with Homes by Fawn and Hawaii Life. I wanted to share with you some of the fun events to make sure you don’t miss out.

Ala Moana Beach Park

One of the biggest in the state is the July 4th Fireworks at Ala Moana Beach Park. This is closest to Waikiki. Centerstage entertainment starts at 3 pm, and the Fireworks Spectacular launches at 8:30 pm. Tune into 92.3 for a live soundtrack that will accompany the fireworks display.

Polynesian Cultural Center

Up in the North Shore, the Polynesian Cultural Center will be hosting its second annual July 4th fireworks show. This family-friendly fun event starts at 4 pm with kid’s activities and live entertainment. Fireworks will begin at 9 pm. Admission is free and open to all ages. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam

Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, 4th of July Celebration will be held at the Ward Field. The event runs from 3 pm – 9:30 pm. There will be free and paid activities with food and beverages for purchase. At 7:30 pm, Vertical Horizon will perform live in concert. At, 9 pm the fireworks spectacular will start. This event is open to DoD ID cardholders and their sponsored guests.

Scholfield Barracks

4th of July Spectacular at Scholfield Barracks. This is a cash only event and open to military, DoD cardholders and visitors. Any visitor 16 years of age and older must present a valid state or government photo ID. Events include concerts, rides, games, food, and fireworks. Dita Holifield performs at 1 pm; island favorites Rebel Souljahz at 3:30 pm and Jordan Davis at 5:30 pm. At 8:40 pm, the fireworks will begin.

Kailua

Spend the day in Kailua for the 4th of July. Bring a cooler and head down to the beautiful beach of Kailua. The fireworks show will be held at Kailua Bay. The parade will start at 10 am, the airshow will begin at 6 pm, and fireworks start at 8 pm.

No matter where you go to celebrate the 4th or if you just step outside to see the fireworks, please be safe. My name is Fawn Bertram, Happy 4th of July and have fun out there!
