Are you wondering if you should do a Home Inspection when purchasing a Home? Hi, I’m Fawn Bertram with Homes by Fawn and Hawaii Life. Have you heard you can’t judge a book by its cover? Well, a home is no different. Just because something looks good on the outside or maybe the inside, doesn’t mean you know what is truly going on with the home.
A home inspector will inspect a home from top to bottom. Now home inspectors can’t see through walls, but they’ll do their best to find out if anything that is going on with the home. A home inspector will evaluate the outlets, electrical panels, attic, foundation, kitchen appliances, test for leaks, windows, garbage disposal, roof, gutters, grout, bathrooms, bedrooms and so much more.
They are looking to make sure the home is safe for you and your family. They will test items in the home to make sure they’re in good working condition. Home Inspectors will take pictures of what they inspected and create a report from what they found.
When the home inspector is finished, he will go over the report and their results with you. Home inspectors will walk through the home with you and go over everything they found. He will point out concerns, hazards, what needs to be fixed, what needs to be replaced, or what to keep an eye on.
Having a Home Inspection will give you peace of mind and insight into the home you’re purchasing. Would you like to learn more? Please contact me. I would love to help answer any questions you have.
