Big Island

How Does the Big Island’s Wai’ula’ula Compare to the Villages?

For one thing, Wai’ula’ula is in Mauna Kea and the Villages are in Mauna Lani! Both are Maryl Construction, high-end, quality condominium projects, and of the best in each resort community for their respective price ranges.

I’ve just spent the past week researching every detail with buyer clients the “best value purchase” under $1,000,000.

Mauna Kea is a slower paced lifestyle resort with a wonderful oceanfront tennis facility, and two world class golf courses along with 2 fabulous hotels, and 2 white sand beaches.

Mauna Lani is a resort with 2 fabulous hotels, the Mauna Lani Beach Club, two renowned golf courses, a fabulous clay court tennis facility, and a convenient and beautiful shopping center with restaurants, and a 4D movie theater.

There are many similarities and a lot of differences, but the value purchase was made and the winner, in this case, was the Villages! My clients were able to put a 2,700+ sq. ft. duplex town home with ocean views and on the golf course into escrow for a great price (can’t say until it closes, but way less than their $1M price limit).

There was no compromise made for value. The retracting wall of doors leading to the quiet golf course northwest facing views (sunsets!) along with the two car garage, quiet cul-de-sac location, and privileges offered at no extra expense won out in the intensive search in both complexes.

Living and loving the resort life!
