Waikoloa Beach Resort Condos Receive 2012 Certificate of Excellence From TripAdvisor

Two of Waikoloa Beach Resort’s condos – Waikoloa Colony Villas and the Shores at Waikoloa – just received a Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. The Pacific Business News reported that seventeen Hawaii properties of Aston Hotels and Resorts, located on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island took top honors from TripAdvisor.

Each hotel received a 2012 Certificate of Excellence for having four out of five outstanding user reviews posted worldwide. Based in Honolulu, Aston Hotels and Resorts manages approximately 4,000 units in 27 properties on the four major Hawaiian Islands, South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Lake Las Vegas, Nevada.

Waikoloa Beach Resort

If you’re looking for a condo in Hawaii that you will be using as a vacation rental, these are two great condo complexes to consider. If you do purchase a condo here, you have the choice of having Aston manage your condo or going with another property management company of your choice. Waikoloa Beach Resort has a slew of restaurants and shops in either the Queens Market Place or the Kings Shops.

Sunset views at A Bay can be yours, starting at a list price of $314,000 for (MLS# 243037), a two bedroom condo at Waikoloa Colony Villas

There are two golf courses to choose from – either the King’s Course or the Beach Course. The Hilton makes its Big Island home here, as well as a Marriott hotel. All of this is built around one of the Kohala Coast’s largest beach areas – A Bay.

Swim with the dolphins, take a sunset champagne cruise, listen to slack key guitar music, dine at Roy’s, watch a hula performance, ride the Hilton monorail…or just lay back and watch the waves come in…it’s all here at Waikoloa Beach Resort!

The Shores at Waikoloa

The Shores at Waikoloa was one of the first condo projects built and is located close to the Hilton with golf course frontage. The Shores has one and two bedroom condos along with two bedroom golf villas. The grounds are very tropical with a stream, pool, tennis courts, BBQ’s, all in a gated community.

This Golf Villa unit at the Shores (MLS# 249556) is a spacious 1,484 sq.ft. with a listing price of $419,000

At this time, there are 14 condos available for sale at the Shores at Waikoloa, ranging in price from $249,000 for a one bedroom unit to $749,000 for a two bedroom, two and a half  bath golf villa.

Waikoloa Colony Villas is also built along the golf course and features two and three bedroom town homes with garages. This is one of my favorite condo complexes because of its lower density, two pools and the privacy a town home offers its owners.

The high ceilings and large windows are a popular feature in this 3 bedroom unit listed at $389,000 (MLS# 251814)

This complex has been a popular seller in recent years as it offers entry level pricing in a gated, quality complex. There are only five units on the market at this time at Colony Villas. Prices start at $314,000 for a two bedroom/two bath unit. High end is a three bedroom/2.5 bath unit offered at $389,000.

Yes, there are several other condo projects in the Waikoloa Beach Resort to choose from. But, these two are a good starting point if you are looking for a unit to enjoy and to use as a vacation rental.

I love the Big Island! Aloha.

Thanks, Pat! It still boggles my mind that people now can get such nice condos in such a idyllic place to live for such great prices. Friends/clients bought a Waikoloa Beach Resort condo in 2011 for $234K!!! I mean…that unbelievable!!! Even though we haven’t seen any deals like that any more, these you mention are a great opportunity for buyers. My faves are at Colony Villas because of the two story townhome floor plans, (no one above or below you), plus a garage accessed via the unit, .

@ Annie – Colony Villas is one of my favs too, just love the high ceilings. They make great vacation rentals and with this summer looking like a record breaker for tourism recent buyers should be able to find some renters this summer.
@ Margaret – you are so very welcome.
