A Visit To Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park

People often ask me what it’s like to be a Realtor. My reply is that I love it! There are very few occupations that allow you to set your own schedule, work with amazing people, and still take time out for yourself and your family.

A few weeks ago, I went to preview a property on the Hilo side for a client I am working with. It happened to be on a day that my daughter Elissa had off, so I asked her to join me. After the preview, we decided to take advantage of our National Parks pass and pay a visit to Pele.

The crater at Halemaumau summit has expanded from 280 feet deep to more than 1,600 feet deep and has tripled in diameter to 1.5 miles wide.

The park is not completely back to its former glory but what we were able to see was absolutely stunning. The flowers and plants are thriving and the skies were clear.

Take my word for it — it’s so much more magnificent in person. Life’s short, go for a walk and appreciate the beauty around you.
