Update on Kihei-Wailea Developments

Here is a brief update on all current developments in Kihei-Wailea areas, starting in North Kihei and moving towards Wailea.

Kamalani

Located at the very beginning of Kihei town, near Highway 311, this development has 3 phases. Phase I is currently under construction and it will have 170 condominium units once it’s completed; 136 Flats and 34 Townhomes. A few buildings have been completed and delivered. Phases II & III will consist of residential parcels; no time frame available.

Remaining available Flats (6 only) are ranging from $370,000 to $419,000 and currently under construction. Those 5 buildings are expected to be completed starting in March 2018 through July 2018.

Remaining Townhomes (5 only) are ranging from $462,000 to $484,300 and currently under construction. Two buildings under construction with completion expected in February 2018 and July 2018.

At the time of this blog, the developer has not released any new buildings in phase I. Phase I offers a park area as amenity; no swimming pool.

Kalama Kai

Located on Kanani Road and ½ block from the rolling, mellow waves of Cove Beach Park. Great location near local’s favorite Charlie Young Beach and Kalama Park also. This is an affordable housing development where Buyers have to qualify within income brackets and also have to hold the property for a pre-stipulated amount of years before being eligible to sell. This condominium will have 40 units spread in three buildings; 39 three-bedroom units (2 different floor plans) and 1 one-bedroom unit which was originally designed as a resident manager’s unit. Prices ranged from high $300,000s to low $500,000s.

At the time of this blog, there was only 1 unit available for sale priced just below $500,000. Ground breaking is expected in December 2017 and completion is expected in the first half of 2019.

Amenities: Swimming Pool, Pool House, and photovoltaic covered parking.

Cove Beach Village

Located right up the road from Kalama Kai, this development offers 32 units spread in five buildings and three different floor plans; two floor plans offer two-bedrooms, two-bathrooms (approximately ranging from 896 to 1,019 sf) and one floor plan offers two-bedrooms, one-bathroom (approximately 714 sf). Currently selling with prices ranging from $499,900 to mid $600,000’s. I wasn’t able to find estimated time frame for ground breaking.
Amenities: Swimming Pool, spa, courtyard area, community kitchen and covered parking.

Paradise Ridge Estates

This is a brand-new residential project in South Kihei, located right above Hale Kamaole complex and in between Kihei Shores and Maui Kamaole. This condominium will offer 32 units spread in 8 buildings with 2 floor plans available; two-bedrooms, two bathrooms with approximately 1,251 sf & three-bedrooms, two-bathrooms with approximately 1,389 sf. Prices are ranging from $699,000 to $999,000. Pre-sales started in October 2017 and I was not able to find out when ground breaking is expected at the time this blog was written. Only 16 units were released; 2 under contract at the time this blog was written.

Amenities: Swimming Pool, Spa, and Pool House.

Keala O’ Wailea

Newest gated residential community in Wailea with breathtaking ocean views, located next door to Wailea Gateway Center. Construction is well underway and when completed the complex will have 70 units total spread in 7 buildings with two and three-bedroom floor plans; penthouses offer a larger floor plan with 3B/2.5B. Only 4 units available; all ground floor two-bedroom units with prices ranging from $819,000 to $1,249,900. Completion is estimated as follow:

• Buildings 1 & 2: December 2017
• Buildings 3 & 4: April 2018
• Building 5: May 2018
• Building 6: June 2018
• Building 7: July 2018

Amenities: Swimming Pool, Spa, Gym, Club House.

Makali’i

Gated residential community located on the South end of Wailea, across the street from the Fairmont Kealani Resort. This community offers 68 homes; 2 and 3-bedroom townhomes with 4 residences per building with a total of 17 buildings. Homes will feature a private courtyard entrance and very modern design. Currently 71% sold and available homes are ranging from $1,248,000 to $2,698,000; prices are based purely on views. Ground breaking is scheduled for December 2017 and estimated 2.5 years for completion.

Amenities: Swimming Pool, Spa, Club House, Gym.

Hello, if you would, please send me the info/stats on all of these projects…
my wife and I are looking at potential places to live in retirement, such as Hawaii, Carmel, Palm Springs, and Italy, which is big on my list not hers….

also, we`re familiar with the islands, I lived there for a couple of years while working with an investment group, and my wife`s latest and last profession is in real estate here in Atherton, Woodside, Palo Alto area of California, thanks for any info you can send my way..pf
