Surf the Turf | Golfboarding on Kaua'i

Golfboarding is the newest way to incorporate excitement and speed into your golf round, and the latest “must-have” accessory for golf course living. Take a golfboard and play 18 holes in under three hours. The golfboard was designed to simulate the ride of board sports like surfing, while providing exceptional stability over any terrain with a fairly simplistic operation.

One button controls your speed; press to accelerate and release to slow down and stop with an automatic parking break. Steering involves a tactical combination of shifting your body weight with your legs, pulling the handlebars with your arms, and the right amount of lean to carve turns on the turf. You can drive right up to your ball in most instances, with only the greens and tee boxes being off limits.

Not only does the golfboard shave considerable time off your pace of play, it provides a new dimension of physical challenge and adventure to the time spent between shots. Golfboards have already become popular on Kaua’i. You can find them at the Makai Golf Club in Princeville and The Club at Kukui’ula in Poipu.
