If you have been following my blog series on purchasing rental property here on Maui, you will know we purchased a new home to live in at The Parkways at Maui Lani. At the time, we had three rental properties; one at Kai Ani Village in Kihei, one at Hoonanea at Lahaina, and one at Milo Court at Kehalani.
An opportunity to sell our Hoonanea unit presented itself, and we decided to take advantage of the considerable appreciation we had realized with that property.
After closing, we watched the market closely to find a property to purchase with the equity from Hoonanea. After about 6 months, we decided to purchase another home in The Parkways at Maui Lani. The house is currently under construction.
The home features the Hapuna floor plan (P1), and will be in Phase 3 at The Parkways. It is 1,385 square feet with 3 beds and 2 baths. It promises to be a strong rental property, and we are looking forward to the home being completed and closing sometime in late fall.
