Saint Louis Heights in Metro Oahu – Live, Work and Play in Town

As the sun is starting to set in the sky over the city of Honolulu, and I look at the beautiful colors that the sunset creates, I feel very grateful that I live in this beautiful place they call Hawaii.

My home is in the Diamond Head area of Honolulu on a hill called Saint Louis Heights where it overlooks Diamond Head, Waikiki, Honolulu, and the ocean.

View from our deck…

Most of the homes in Saint Louis Heights have gorgeous ocean and city views. You can enjoy the entertainment, arts, cultural events, mega shopping, and hundreds of restaurants all within just a few miles. The residents who live here are very diverse. There are professionals who work in town, teachers, and professors from the University of Hawaii, and some homes still have original homeowners.

Due to the location and views, Saint Louis Heights, and the surrounding areas, are very desirable for many people. Some of the older homes that were not well maintained have been bought for land value only and torn down, then beautiful large new homes were built.

One home that just closed in December for $805,000 was remodeled before it was put on the market. Although, the property was in fair to good condition, the new owners had the home torn down last week for a new home to be built. Prices in this area normally start in the $600,000 range and go up from there. Many of the homes have been remodeled while others may need some TLC.

This original owner property (MLS# 1101886) has a lot of room

For people who like new homes, unobstructed forever views, and no yard work (MLS# 1103646) is for you
