Ready, Set….Reset!

We are moving forward! Things are opening up again. Life is returning to normal — sort of. I don’t know what the last year and a half has been like for you, but I suspect that there isn’t one of us who hasn’t experienced loss of some kind. We’ve all had to make adjustments. Life was upended when our state shut down and it has been a slow crawl forward ever since. But, we are getting there.

Back to Normal?

The thing is that I’m not sure any of us are clear on where “there” really is. Are we going back to life as we knew it? And, more importantly, do we want to?

The world was given a global timeout. We all had time to think. To pause. And, if you are like me, maybe you see the timeout as an opportunity to rethink. To revisit things. To change things up.

Look for New Opportunities to Simplify

Yes, we are all ready to get back to our lives. But hopefully, we will reset some things. In every crisis there is an opportunity. What opportunities are available to you? To me? Where does change need to be made and how can we reset our lives for the better?

I don’t have all the answers. In fact, I have more questions than answers. But, growing, learning, and changing all start with asking good questions, so here are a few that I am asking myself?

  1.  How can I simplify my life?
  2.  What activities can I eliminate from my life?
  3.  How can I work smarter?
  4.  How do I add more value to people?

These are just a few of the questions. I have many more and I bet you do, too. Truly, now is the time to get our priorities in order. To develop a life stance. One that is proactive. Positive. Meaningful.

Take a Pause

I know that we are all anxious to press play — anxious to get back to business. But, before we press play, maybe we should press pause for just a little longer? Just long enough to revaluate who we want to be and where we want to be post-pandemic. Long enough to reset.
