Jump In! $500K Reduction on Oceanfront Puako Home

Most Hawaii residents I know have one huge priority upon arriving back to our beautiful island home—jump in the ocean!

Ahhh… Jump right in from #58! (MLS# 232168). Oceanfront. Asking $2.5M

Original Price: $3M
Reduced to: $2.5M

Life in Puako Beach makes it easy to immediately don beach wear and jump into the luscious, crystal clear blue water, swim with some honu while washing away all the grime of travel, and hectic pace of the mainland. At least, that’s what I did upon arriving home to Puako Beach today—after spending a week in San Francisco and the Bay Area environs. Don’t get me wrong—the trip was an enormous success.

The Inman Connect Conference being the purpose for the visit, I was blown away by the caliber of attendees, information, and certainly the most innovative and inspirational speakers I’ve ever seen at a real estate conference. Craig Newmark confirmed he did NOT find his current girlfriend on Craigs List, Kara Swisher was hilarious, and the exchange of information at the Broker Summit, led by Marc Davison of 1,000 Watt Consulting was stunning. My hat goes off to The Good Life Team for winning the Most Innovative Broker award—they might be in Austin, TX, but they seem to have a lot in common with Hawaii Life….

As a Los Gatos (South Bay) native, it is always a treat to revisit my “roots,” spend time with ‘ohana and of course, get in some good grinds! Huge Mahalo Nui Loa to Bill Chee (Prudential Locations) for a fantastic night at Gary Danko and then lunch at R&C, the crab was out of this world!! RN74 was a Burgundian-inspired treat, and Coco500 wonderful and the Italian Bistro and Thai food and fantastic Mexican place in Santa Cruz…well… topped off with “cake batter” ice cream and a stroll through the town of my roots with a friend from age 6. There’s an Apple Store right on the main drag now. As tempting as it is to say, “that’s not how I remember it” the truth is there was a Ferrari dealership on the main drag when I was in high school… so… as much as I have loved and lived the Los Gatos life, coming home to Puako Beach is, well… awesome. I jumped right in.

Puako Beach Sunset, Sunday July 18th, 2010. Yes, there was a green flash!
