O’ahu Vacation Rental Bill 41 Has Passed. Now What? Lawsuit…

After much debate, Bill 41 (further regulating vacation rentals on O’ahu), was passed by Honolulu City Council and recently signed by Honolulu Mayor, Rick Blangiardi. This new law is scheduled to go in effect, October 23rd, 2022 and will greatly impact the real estate rental market here on O’ahu and it sounds like there will be at least one legal challenge to it. If you own vacation rental real estate on O’ahu, or plan to acquire property here, you may find this video to be of value.  Since there is some uncertainty regarding this new law, I will provide updates when appropriate.
