North Shore Maui’s Lowest Priced Oceanfront Property

At the time of writing, 30 Hale Pili Way is the second lowest priced oceanfront parcel on the entire island of Maui, and the lowest priced piece in the coveted north shore Holokai neighborhood, enjoying easy access to Haiku town with its gastronomic temptations, Paia’s shops, and rugged beaches, Makawao’s Paniolo coffee joints, services, and about 30 minutes to the airport.

Commanding Location Above Uaoa Bay

The below picture, courtesy of Google Earth, shows the approximate lot line of the property (MLS# 372524). Notice that the neighbor to the right has quite a small frontage of direct oceanfront. This piece has not only a direct oceanfront orientation, but also a gently curving valley edge to the east. This kind of topographical diversity is such a pleasure to incorporate into an architectural vision for the land.

Here’s a video presentation of the property complete with the enchanting audio of waves crashing against the rugged shoreline:

The Story of Maui’s $2,000,000 Teardown

Sounds like a story about Vancouver, Canada, real estate, doesn’t it? The house under construction in the left-hand side of the picture below is directly adjacent to 30 Hale Pili Way. That property sold for $2,000,000 with a house already on it. The buyers had their own vision for their dream house and so they tore down the existing house to make way for their own personalized architecture.
