Mauna Kea Resort Update on the Big Island

Standing room only on the Kohala Coast.

The Mauna Kea Resort Services announced yesterday to all its homeowners that SAP, the worldwide business management software company, will be sending 5,000 attendees to the Big Island between February 18 and 25, 2011.

They have a total buyout of the Mauna Kea, Fairmont Orchid, and Mauna Lani, and over 100 rooms at Hapuna. They will be booking the majority of time at the restaurants, golf, spa, tennis, and activities all over the island during that time period.

Please note these dates with regard to your plans to visit the island, or the resort during this week.

I will definitely be sharing this occupancy situation with my clients/homeowners. SAP is a competitor of Oracle, aren’t they? And based out of Germany! Good for you, Catherine! Mahalo!

I’m curious to know if the attendees to the SAP convention are making inquiries about real estate while they are here on the BIG ISLAND? Anyone have feedback? I was at Shops at Mauna Lani last night, (2/22), and it appears they are enjoying the shops and dining.

@Annie – Catherine and I were at the Queen’s shops Starbuck’s yesterday and the line was the longest I’ve ever seen it – apparently they are out and about some, but I heard their conference schedule was so packed, it hasn’t left much time for them to explore real estate! That’s okay, we know a lot of them will be back, once you come to the Big Island once, it’s hard to not keep coming back!!
