Maui Weekend Events – February 2

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui brings some country music, lei making workshops, comedy and theater. Hui No’eau is hosting workshops for lei making. South Maui Gardens presents Comedy in the Garden. Brett Young will be playing the MACC this Sunday night. ProArts Maui features Daddy Long Legs as the show closes out this weekend with showings Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Hui No’eau Workshops

Hui No’eau is hosting two workshops this weekend. Friday afternoon, Caitlyn Madrid is teaching a lei po’o workshop. This class will run from noon – 3 pm. On Saturday, Caitlyn is teaching two ti leaf lei hili workshops. There will be a family session for ages 3+ from 10 am – 12 pm. Additionally, an adult session will run from 12:30 – 3:30 pm.

Brett Young

Brett Young is playing the Yokouchi Pavilion and A&B Amphitheater this Sunday night. Special Guest is Justin Kawika Young. Show starts at 7 pm. Gates open at 5:30. This event will be a collection site for the Maui Food Bank. Donations benefit those affected by the wildfires.

South Maui Gardens – Comedy in the Garden

South Maui Gardens presents Comedy in the Garden this Saturday night. Show features Tom Rhodes. Tom Rhodes has been on the comedy scene since the 80s with a couple of specials and lots of touring under his belt. Doors open at 6. Show starts at 6:30 pm.

ProArts Playhouse Maui

Daddy Long Legs closes this weekend with performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This musical is based on a 1912 novel by the same name. Showtimes at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 pm on Sunday.
