And yes, “prices subject to change depending on County guidelines and income range.” This is Maui County Workforce housing community. There are several other requirements that need to be met for a prospective homeowner to qualify as well.

Yes, throw your name in the hat. Why not? Worth a shot. There will be a lottery style selection for prequalified homebuyers who have successfully filled out an application and submitted all required documentation. The Makila Kai website says that the lottery is expected in May or June of 2017.
Get all your info and updates at the developer’s website, as things can change between now and County approval. You can see a site plan, floor plans, and find out about the process to get yourself eligible for the selection process.

The gist of it is that there are 25 workforce homes on approximately 1/2 acre rural lots. There will also be 24 market priced agricultural lots just mauka of the workforce homes that will range in size from 1.5 to 2 acres. The location for both developments is just mauka of the future Lahaina Bypass and makai of Haniu Street.
