Occasionally in my travels, I stumble across new places that I have wondered how I could have missed in the past. Ili Kūpono Gardens Nursery & Farm is one of these places.
For the past year, we have been renovating our yard to be more food and low water friendly. In my quest for fun and unique plants and trees, I have explored several island nurseries. I recently stopped into Hawaiian Gardens to purchase some ground cover. They did not have what I was looking for, but in true Aloha style, they referred me to a new nursery, Ili Kūpono Gardens Nursery & Farm right around the corner. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to show me around and answer my many questions. Next time you’re in Kailua-Kona, swing by and check them out.
