Hawaii Life in Real Life – A Time of Connection

In a world gone more than a little mad, we all need time to stop, reflect, refresh, and connect. That is exactly what we did last week on the beautiful Garden Isle of Kauai.

If you’re wondering what a bunch of Realtors and awesome staff members do to unwind after a two year long pandemic and a crazy market, think ATVing, horseback riding, zip lining, sailing, dancing, and a whole lot of cutting loose.

Cutting loose, laughing, and most importantly, connecting, are incredibly important for us all. We all need to pause once in a while to enjoy each other, to connect, and to reflect on the goodness in life — the goodness of friends, clients, co-workers, and the goodness of these islands. All of us at Hawaii Life feel extremely blessed to live in our island state. These past few days were a wonderful reminder to us of the preciousness of this place and its people.

There is value in connection. Author Brené Brown said, “I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” I think that is a good definition and it certainly holds true for what we experienced at our Hawaii Life in Real Life event. We saw each other, we listened, and we affirmed our value as a team and as individuals. We were all strengthened and energized.

A big Mahalo to Hawaii Life and to all the people who combine to make us who we are. We are a team of diverse, talented, and imperfect people doing our best to uphold one another, to honor our land, and to care for all those we serve.

We are Hawaii Life.
