I just got off a Zoom call with a client. He’s submitting an offer today. You may think that buying and selling has ceased during this period, but it has not. At least, not completely.

This particular client has been in the market off and on for some time. He’s been waiting for the right house in the right neighborhood at the right price. Because of COVID-19, he found an opportunity to buy that was too good to pass up. For Sellers who need to sell, there is now more motivation to price competitively. There is more willingness to discount in order to effect a timely sale. For some Sellers, getting ahead of the curve and making concessions now just makes good sense. A lot of sense. And, for some savvy buyers, the time to buy is now. There are just some opportunities that are too good to pass up. Even during COVID-19.

Connecting with clients is what we do as Realtors. Connecting the right buyers to the right properties at the right time takes skill and market knowledge. Particularly in this climate. I’ve been hearing from many clients. They’ve been hearing from me. In some cases, I counsel Sellers to hang on to their properties. To wait until the next uptick in the market. Even if that means waiting several years. For others, it makes more sense to sell now, even if they have to discount their price to make a move. The same holds true for Buyers. For some, it makes complete sense to jump in now. For others, there is wisdom in waiting. Every situation is personal. Unique. It isn’t one size fits all.

That is why connection is so important. No one should make a decision to sell or buy without connecting with their Realtor and without a thorough review of their own situation, finances, needs, wants, and goals.
