The answer is yes. Yes, you can. It all starts with TRUST. I have been selling properties remotely for the past several years, even before Covid-19 was a household word. This beautiful listing was sold on March 30, 2020. This is my neighborhood, and this Seller and I developed a great friendship as the result of my listing her home.

The home buying process has changed tremendously over the past few years and it is now easier than ever to purchase properties remotely. One of the most important tools we have, of course, is technology. The internet allows buyers to view properties remotely from their couch or office. Cell phones have become so advanced that photography and videography can facilitate remote showings in great detail. Additionally, I have used my smartphone and facetime to remotely show properties for the past several years and have numerous clients who have purchased properties site unseen. It is also a great way to show clients the results of their home inspections and bring them through the final walk-through.

Although we are following very strict guidelines right now and are not able to accommodate vacation travelers on our island. We can help you through technology and our resource tools. If you are willing to complete the mandatory 14-day quarantine, you can come to Kauai and shelter in place for that mandatory time. This is usually for people who know they are moving here or those who are working remotely that can abide by our mandated rules. It is for the safety of our island our Kapuna and for yourself. Please do not plan to break the rules…I am in no way advocating you do that. In fact, my husband and I recently completed the 14-day at-home quarantine after a necessary trip to the mainland. It can feel like a very, very long time unless you stay focused and realize it is only temporary. There are food delivery options, and thankfully we have lots of friends who showed their aloha spirit and dropped food and treats off on our front lanai. Very grateful!
My clients turned friends, the Urbanski’s, made this second sight unseen purchase with me…talk about trust. Thankfully, they love their new home, and both had to quarantine for one month as they arrived separately and also brought an 8-month-old puppy along for the challenge. Very proud of them for making the leap of faith and calling Kauai home.
