Aging Well: Tips for Health As We Grow Older

Do you want to look great and feel happy? Are you in need of some rejuvenation? Are you interested in learning how to improve your lifespan? More importantly, your healthspan? If you are a senior like me, you probably answered “yes” to all those questions. But, even if you aren’t a senior, I bet you could use a little rejuvenation. Especially after a year like 2020!

Optimizing Your Health & Longevity

If you want a straightforward path for optimizing your overall health, I highly recommend you read, “The New Rules of Aging Well.” It’s a great book by Frank Lipman, MD and Danielle Claro. It sets forth a simple plan to build immune resilience, strength, and vitality. It’s truly one of the best books on aging I’ve read.

Tips for Aging Well

I really want you to read it, so I’m not going to delineate all the wonderful tips and suggestions, but here are a few things to get you started on  your path to wellness:

  1. Eat less and practice intermittent fasting
  2. Do 20 minutes a day of something meditative
  3. Switch to gentler workouts, but move as much as possible
  4. Grow your tribe (social interactions are vital to good health)
  5. Walk barefoot when you can
  6. Eat food whenever possible in its natural state
  7. Sleep well

There is so much in this book about good and bad food, fitness and rest, inner health, and everyday habits. It’s truly a must-read. If you want to make the remaining years of your life your best years, read the book. It’s life changing!
