Move to Hawaii Island! According to a recent national study by WalletHub, a personal finance website, Hawaii ranks number one in the nation for overall happiness among its residents.

Results were derived via a survey that compared emotional and physical well-being, work environment, and community and natural environment of residents in all 50 states. They approached the study in this way saying, “Previous studies have found that good economic, emotional, physical and social health are all key to a well-balanced and fulfilled life.” With the highest scores for emotional and physical well-being and the lowest for adult depression, Hawaii is the happiest state of all, the study concluded!

Considering our relaxed, easy going lifestyle, incredibly beautiful natural environment, ideal climate for the best of outdoor living and entertaining, as well as a multitude of diverse land and ocean-based recreational activities, this really comes as no surprise to those of us who live here! After all, it makes sense since these factors are major stress relievers and mood enhancers.

In addition, the spirit of aloha is prevalent throughout the islands and within our diverse communities, providing a warm welcome and support for newcomers and long-time residents alike.
