Weekly Kona Rainbow Pick (WKRP) Kona Palisades Estates

Front view of this Kona Palisades Estates well-kept home

This week’s WKRP is a 4 bed/3 bath remodeled home with coastline and sunset views (MLS# 244850) priced at $475,000. Situated on a quiet cul-de-sac at approx. 900 feet elevation, this home presents the best value for your money of the featured homes on today’s caravan.

Remodeled in 2009, the open kitchen features hardwood floors, stainless KitchenAid appliances, bamboo cabinets, newer fixtures, skylights for natural lighting, and towering cathedral ceilings.

Once inside this delightful home, I was drawn to the covered lanai with solid teak flooring for the dramatic coastline view. Sitting at the bar, I visualized sipping on my favorite wine and watching one of our frequent gorgeously tantalizing Kona sunsets, and enjoying the amazing tropical breezes.

Towering cathedral ceilings with skylights command the living area

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. With an additional bedroom and bathroom downstairs, the total square footage comes to approximately 2,328 square feet.

Plus, there is additional unfinished storage space that is plumbed, ready for an additional bathroom, for the optional expansion of the downstairs space—or just leave it open for storage. The buyer of this home has options for making this space into the most functional use to fit their personal Kona lifestyle.

The over-sized two car enclosed garage provides for lots of storage space and/or work area. The solar hot water heater helps to keep the utility bills within reason too.

The colorful tropical flowers in the peaceful yard

Pleasantly landscaped, the lot covers over 10,000 square feet. Good sized lot for easy maintenance. This could be your very own piece of paradise…what are you waiting for?

Martha! I just noticed this listing today. Mahalo for commenting on it. could someone use some of the area for “separate living quarters”? Didn’t make it to caravan to see it. Mahalo!! Annie

@Annie, Certainly as ‘guest quarters’ but would take some further investigation as a separate rental due to the cesspool. But it certainly has the potential. Plumbing is there. Could be finished off nicely.

@Katie, pics of the view are left to the imagination for now… I’d be happy to arrange a showing for anyone who wants to see it first hand!
