Why I’m Not Holding Open Houses

Open Houses have been around for a long time. They provide an opportunity for the viewing public to see a property. Inviting the general public to view your property during a specified window of time is convenient.  But, properties don’t generally sell because of open houses. They sell because they have been presented and priced well. They sell because of smart marketing – Smarketing! Through a myriad of venues and strategies, your property can be marketed successfully. And, without risking the health of the general public.  At Hawaii Life, we are taking measures to halt the spread of the virus. Our first priority is to protect the safety, health, and well-being of our clients, our agents, and our community at large. As such, we will not hold open houses.

But, we are equipped to market your property. With today’s technology, virtual tours, drone and 3-D photography, buyers can see your property before walking through the door. Buyers can learn a lot about your home through detailed descriptions, floor plans, even drive-by’s. Selling a home involves strong marketing and negotiating skills. It’s about matching the right buyer with the right property. Selling and marketing are far more than placing a sign in the ground and holding an open house. Far more!

Hawaii Life started as a high-tech, high-touch company. More than ever, our global reach and cutting edge systems and tools allow us to market well, even with a major disruption like Covid-19. More importantly, the integrity of our company to put the safety and health of our communities, especially our kapuna, speaks volumes.

I won’t hold open houses during this time, but I will hold my client’s best interest at heart and will do everything possible to assure a smooth and timely transaction, and above all else, a safe process!

I can’t imagine wanting people walking through my house at this time. It’s irresponsible. Thank you Cherie for looking out for everyone’s well being and doing what is right!
Life and Health are most important.
