What Does Aloha Mean? | It’s A Lifestyle

Aloha means Hello. Aloha means Goodbye. Aloha means I love you.

The meaning of Aloha is beyond words. It’s an action. Although it can be used to say, ‘hello’ or ‘goodbye’ — it’s a way of being or existing. Aloha is a value. It is not just a word we use to greet visitors to the island; it is a value. We do our best to instill aloha in each and every person living on or visiting the island of Oahu.

So the next time you’re greeted with, “Aloha,” know that it’s not just hello. It could be, “Hello, let me help you,” or “Hello, I sincerely hope you are well.”

The aloha spirit is alive and well here in Hawaii. It’s the respect and love you feel from the people on the island. I believe it’s important to incorporate the aloha spirit not only in my everyday life, but always within my work. Being aloha is going above and beyond. It is taking care.

I LOVE the word Aloha and it’s spiritual meaning! My husband and I have both been to Hawaii many years ago. He was in the Marine Corps and I was a Navy “brat” as they say. Best place on earth besides Bermuda. Aloha 🙂
