Wailea Ekahi 2018 First Quarter Market Report

While Maui’s Humpback Whale season is coming to an end, the real estate market at Wailea Ekahi is still highly active. With a record high list price, unit 23-A sold for 100% of asking at $2,195,000. On the lower end of Wailea Ekahi’s price spectrum, one savvy buyer purchased unit 25-D. This one-bedroom sold for only $675,000, boasting a rental income history of nearly $60,000 each year since 2015.

Looking at what’s transpired at this beachfront complex, here are the numbers.

In the 1st quarter of 2018:

  • 5 units sold between $675,000 and $2,195,000
  • 3 currently under contract listed between $989,000 and $1,495,000
  • 15 units for sale listed between $739,000 and $1,850,000

So, what does this say about Wailea Ekahi’s market? It’s healthy. Sellers are deciding to cash in on the fact that the average sales price has increased over 20% since last year. Meanwhile, buyers are appreciating the value of owning on the same beach as this house next door listed at $26.9M.
