As of today, June 28th, 2019, out of state visitors will be charged a $5 parking fee per vehicle and a $1 per person fee for pedestrians and/or motorcycles at Koke’e and Waimea Canyon State Park. These fees are being assessed to help offset recently projected costs as a result of natural disasters.
This fee does not apply to Hawaii residents with valid state IDs. As if you needed one more reason to move to Kauai, you can now add free parking at Koke’e and Waimea Canyon to the list!
