Perfect Location, Perfect Price, Perfect Time – A True Jewel on Kauai

For that special someone looking for their permanent home, a retirement home, or a vacation rental, they don’t come any nicer than this—and it is priced to sell quickly!

We are so excited about this new plantation home we are just releasing for sale! It couldn’t be located any better than this!!! It is just a few steps from the famous Kauai landmark, the Coco Palms Hotel, which means it is 5 minutes walking distance to Wailua Beach and 3 minutes walking distance to the Wailua River, and all its water amenities.

Timing has never been better for someone looking for the home where they don’t need to do anything except unpack their suitcases and start to enjoy life on Kauai.

Kauai’s beautiful Pineapple House—Five minute walking distance to the beach and the Wailua River

Entrance to the Pineapple House—A Lazy Dayz fully remodeled plantation-style home

In 2005, the owners (she is an interior decorator) bought this home and entered into a several year long process of doing a complete remodel and renovation. They were attracted to this home as it is set in the exclusive 18 home subdivision of Wailua River Lots where there are many homes in the $1M-$2M+ range.

They spared no expense because this was going to be their permanent home! The outdoor lanais are graced with tropical gardens, coconut trees, and even a private jacuzzi with its own waterfall!

Lush tropical backyard lanai with gas BBQ for those peaceful Hawaiian days!

Or just relax in your own private jacuzzi with its own waterfall!

But as we know, life brings us unexpected events and, in 2007, his job required them to relocate to the mainland. Since they were not ready to part with their home, they had the foresight to apply for a vacation rental permit during that open window of time for legalizing vacation rentals and they received an approved vacation rental permit.

Their hope was that they would eventually return to the home they had lovingly restored, so since leaving, they have been operating it as a very popular vacation rental, but the time has come for them to let go of this dream for now, and they are putting their home on the market for much less than they have invested.

It is truly too cute for words! This single level, three bedroom, 2 bathroom home has been remodeled into a modern day plantation-style home, where you just kick back and enjoy the tranquility of Hawaii in the fully fenced yard, which has been turned into a tropical oasis.

The remodel included all new copper plumbing, new fixtures, completely new kitchen and appliances, new bathrooms with a jacuzzi tub in the master, new windows and doors, new roof, new septic system, new 2 car garage, new flooring, new, new, everything!

The location is in the heart of Kauai which provides easy access to the airport, shopping, dining, activities, and medical and business services, and with the price of gas today—location really counts! We don’t think this home will last long as it is in the same price range as many “fixer-uppers” and this one is completely FIXED!

How about a couple of before and after pictures to show you want I mean by total remodel:

BEFORE: front entrance lanai  AFTER: front entrance lanai

BEFORE: house with carport  AFTER: house with new two car garage

We hope you have enjoyed the slide show…call us for more information about purchasing this home! We are the Listing Sisters, Lucy (808) 651-5676 and Ilona (808) 635-1495 at Hawaii Life Real Estate Services.

Lucy,
Thanks to you and Ilona for the great job you are doing bringing our labor of love to market. We are, of course, conflicted as we loved living on Kauai and remodeling the home. We hope the new owners will appreciate what we have done and make their own memories.

My Paradise on earth. I used to live on Kauai and Coco Palms was my favorite place in all of Hawaii. I was a nurse at Wilcox Hospital and on my days off I frequently walked from Lihue to the hotel, have a cool drink by the lagoon, then cross the road to soak up the sun before walking back. I am now 67 years old and my dream is to return someday, at least for a short visit. Your place looks like a piece of Heaven to me.
