Top 5 Pet-Friendly Residential Communities in Hawaii Kai

1. Lalea Hawaii Kai

One of my favorite townhome communities in Hawaii Kai. The community offers 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and spacious 3-bedroom townhome units. Ground floor units include a private outdoor courtyard area. Perfect for pets or gardening. Amenities include: a swimming pool, BBQ area, and clubhouse.

2. Hale Ka Lae

This high-rise condominium is conveniently located a short distance from Safeway, Long’s Drugs, and some of Hawaii Kai’s best marina-front eateries and was built in 2016. The developers made great use of the space creating unique 2, 3, and 4 bedroom floor plans. The high-rise offers flex-units, allowing residents to use those spaces creatively. Not just pet-friendly, but the residence even has a “doggy spa” available for residents’ use.

3. Mariner’s Village 2

Located at the start of beautiful and green Hahaione Valley, this townhome cluster offers nice interior square footage. 2 bedroom units boast almost 1,100 interior square footage, not including the covered lanai area perfect for outdoor living.Check out this recently remodeled 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 parking unit currently on the market.

4. The Esplanade

A high-rise building located on the Hawaii Kai marina in the heart of Hawaii Kai, offers resort-like amenities: saltwater swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, steam rooms, multiple BBQ areas, and a tennis court! Ranging from 1 to 3 bedrooms, the marina-front facing units can boast view of the ocean and capture beautiful sunsets. For those boat enthusiasts, the residence even offers boat docks for your use.

5. Mawaena Kai

A gated townhome community located right on Hawaii Kai’s marina. The complex offers 2 and 3 bedroom units, with large interior square footage — ranging between 1,012 and 1,406 square feet. This does not include the lanai or covered patio square footage each unit has. With each townhome located on the marina, all townhome units will have a view of the marina. Bonus: some of these units come with their own boat dock. Click here to check it out.
