Aloha friends! Is it just me or is this year flying by already!? I can’t believe we are already looking ahead to the 20th this weekend. This Saturday, we have two great music events to choose from. Marlene Markos will be joining Asian Blend for a dinner and dance party at the Marilyn Monroe House. Also playing this Saturday night at the MACC is ukulele legend Jake Shimabukuro. Between these two options, pretty much any and every music lover should be satisfied! And just in case, you can also check out the Maui Pops orchestra at the MACC this Sunday. Cliff House is also offering first seating for the year this weekend.
Marlene Markos with Asian Blend at the Marilyn Monroe House
Asian Blend celebrates their 50th Golden Anniversary on Maui this weekend on Saturday night. This is sure to be an energized show at one of Maui’s most beautiful venues. The King Kamehameha Golf Club House also known as the Marilyn Monroe house is truly spectacular. The design is based on plans by Frank Lloyd Wright for Arthur Miller and Marilyn Monroe hence it’s more well-known moniker. Marlene Markos is an amazing vocalist with lots of range and brings great energy to the extremely talented lineup.

Jake Shimabukuro with special guest Pure Heart at the MACC
If you’ve never heard Jake Shimabukuro live, know it is truly a treat. What he does with an ukulele is nothing short of magic. Jake Shimabukuro has been dubbed the Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele and that is not an overstatement. He can play any style and genre seemingly effortlessly and make the sound his own. He plays this Saturday at the MACC’s Castle Theater.

Maui Pops Orchestra – Broadway Pops at the MACC
This annual show sells out every year. This year, the show features vocalists Nikki Renee Daniels and Jeff Kready. They join Music Director James Durham and the Maui Pops Orchestra in a celebration of your favorite music from Broadway and beyond. They are performing Sunday afternoon at the MACC’s Castle Theater.

Champagne Hale at Cliff House
The Montage at Kapalua Bay will be seating the Champagne Hale at Cliff House this weekend for the first time in 2023. The pop up at Cliff House with epic views, champagne and pupus is the perfect way to cap off a day at the beach or pool. Offering 2 seatings at 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend, there are a few options to make it work in your schedule.
