Things To Do in Kalama Valley, Hawaii Kai

Located in Hawaii Kai on the island of Oahu, Kalama Valley is one of my favorite neighborhoods! A great and convenient location. Just a 10-minute drive to Costco, Safeway, Longs Drugs and some of Hawaii Kai’s best waterfront eateries, less than 5 minutes away from some of Oahu’s favorite attractions and just a 20-minute drive to Kailua.

What Are Some Things To Do in Kalama Valley?

1. Visit the Farmers Market

That’s right, Kalama Valley has a new farmers market. Every Monday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, stop by the Kalama Village Shopping Center to pick up fresh produce, or takeaway pastas and more.

2. Take a walk around the Koko Crater Botanical Gardens

Stop and smell the blooming plumerias.

3. Visit Sandy Beach

Watch the large shore break waves. Fish. Take a look at the tide pools.

4. Hawaii Kai Golf Course

5. Visit Kalama Valley Park

Have a picnic, or enjoy a game of pickleball.

6. EAT.

Stop by on your way to Sandy Beach to pick up poke bowls from Ono Seafood Hawaii / Poke Bowl Patrol or pick up dinner from the very yummy Thai Valley.

Hope you take some time to enjoy our lovely Kalama Valley Neighborhood.

Try and tie in the history of Hawaii Kai, at least going back to Kaiser and the filming of the Hawaii 5-0 pilot.
