Besides the beautiful stretches of pristine beaches, there are a number of valleys. Makaha Resort and Golf Course is located in the valleys. Adjacent to Makaha Golf Club (West), Makaha Valley was designed by William F. Bell, who designed the Torrey Pines South Course which hosted the 2008 U.S. Open.
