The Aloha Spirit is Alive in Hawaii Kai, Oahu!

Who is interested in helping our keiki thrive – in a very convenient way?

On August 2, 2025 from 8 – 10 am, you can head to Koko Marina parking lot, between First Hawaiian Bank and Texaco are located, where a Hawaii Kai Lion’s Club Volunteer will be waiting to assist you with dropping off your personal items in a drive-thru setting.  Drop off your paper waste to shred with Access (up to 2 boxes) or drop off your e-waste with T & N Computer Recycling Services, FOR FREE, in return for donating school supplies to Helping Hands Hawaii Community Clearinghouse. Although school supplies are preferred, they will accept monetary donations with a check made out to Helping Hands Hawaii.

You may be thinking this is too good to be true! Free shredding and e-waste recycling – all rolled together with helping our keiki thrive!

For more than a decade, Krysti Peacock, Director of Marketing at Koko Marina Center, has been instrumental in helping keiki receive much-needed school supplies. What first started as her vision to help her child’s local classroom/school, has now grown into a thriving favorable endeavor with Helping Hands Hawaii Ready To Learn, Access, T&N Computer Recycling Services, which benefits all keiki on Oahu. Thank you Krysti for your foresight!
