Talk Story #59 – Demand Continues Over New Luxury and Affordable High Rises in Honolulu

In the famous Ala Moana Shopping Center area between Waikiki and Kaka’ako, luxury abounds with 4-5 levels of prime shopping, including anchor department stores Neiman Marcus, Macys, a future Bloomingdales (the older Sears section of the Center is being totally remodeled), and excitement grows regarding the progress at the established Nordstrom’s store.

New Honolulu Condo Projects

1. One Ala Moana

A unique and very special addition is now in process. The dominating construction crane graces the sky as a 23-story building will rise above the existing Nordstrom parking structure.

This totally prime location will have 206 private residences in an ultra luxury tower condominium named One Ala Moana. Last December, the unique and exclusive project sold out in private sales in just two days with prices ranging from $583,000 to $9 million.

2. Waihonoa at Kewalo

Meanwhile, another crane is busy near the Ala Moana Center and Ala Moana Beach Park. The Waihonoa at Kewalo condominium in the Kaka’ako district has recently hit the 90% sold mark and is changing daily as its construction continues. Prices range from $375,000 to $1.9M.

3. Symphony Honolulu

And this month, lines formed early in anticipation of the Opening of sales to reserve one of the planned 388 units in the 43-story ‘Symphony Honolulu‘ condo tower. This new project will be conveniently located across from the Neal Blaisdell Arena and Performing Arts Center, on the corner of Ward Ave and Kapiolani Blvd. in Kaka’ako and near the Ward Center area.

Ranging from $500K to $3M, the ground level will aptly include the sales showrooms for JN’s Audi line and exotic cars such as Ferrari and Bentley.
