Sunny in Kihei, Maui

Over the last 9 years of living on Maui, Kihei is at the top of my list for the place to be on Maui. The weather year-round is beautiful with an average max temperature of 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunny days provide a great opportunity to enjoy water sports, golf, volleyball, yard games, and bbq with friends and family. I’m extremely grateful to wake up in paradise! Come along with me as I share what South Maui has to offer.

Rich’s Beach Picks

Kamaole Beach 1 is more friendly when it comes to the water. There is a lifeguard on duty during regular hours. Plenty of parking, ABC Store is across the street for food and beverages, showers, and a bathroom make this beach an easy choice if you are looking for convenience. Keawakapu Beach is another beach that ranks highly on my list. One of my favorite things to do is walk from Keawakapu Beach to Andaz Resort. Great exercise with stunning South shore views. Keep in mind this beach does not have a lifeguard. Please exercise caution with the ocean, the water can be extremely unpredictable.

Maui Brew Company is hands down my favorite place for getting a bite to eat and enjoying a drink. The venue offers outdoor seating and entertaining games. Their menu is extensive, with my favorite being Kalua Pork Nachos. On certain nights, they have live music, which is a nice touch! Love sushi? Check out Miso Phat. The quality of fish and flavors incorporated are sure to please the pallet. The TNT roll is my go-to…shrimp tempura, crab roll, ahi poke with unagi sauce and agave honey drizzle.

Maui Nui Golf Course

Like to Golf?

Maui Nui is an 18-hole golf course that offers views and value! Plus Maui Brew Co. is right down the road! Golf 18 holes and head to the brewery after…that’s what I call a good day!

Let me know if I have missed your favorite beach or eatery. I’m always looking for good beach or something new to eat! Aloha for now!
