So Far in 2022: Amazing Weather, Amazing Surf and an Amazing Pipeline Masters

So far this year we have had an incredible run of weather and surf. Over a month of clear skies through the days and nights, along with crystal clear ocean waters and consistent beautiful swells has us forgetting that even rains on the North Shore.

In the last days of January, with a beautiful northwest swell in the forecast, the 2022 Pipeline Masters ran. Congratulations to Kelly Slater and Moana Jones Wong for their titles. Just days before his 50th birthday, Kelly Slater won his 8th title at the coveted event; his first coming 30 years earlier. Also, huge congrats to Moana Jones Wong, who made history as the first women’s wild card to win the event. She prevailed in the finals over five time world champion Carissa Moore.
