It has been difficult to find a well priced beachfront home on Maui lately. I had the privilege Friday to tour this one located on the very quiet Halama St. in Kihei. I have been on a mission over the past several months to find a good, well priced beachfront property in the $3 million range. I have seen all of them from the North shore to the West side. This is the best bang for the buck on Maui right now.
1688A Halama St. (MLS# 357755)
This property is one of the few that does not have state land between it and the beach. This runs all the way to the beach wall. This lot was originally a 20,000 sq. foot parcel. Two homes were built, and the lot split in two, giving this one just over 10,000 sq. feet.

The main house has very clean lines and is well laid out for how many sq. feet they were able to squeeze in – just over 2,200 sq. feet of living space with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom upstairs opens up to some amazing ocean views, too, as you can see from my walk through video.
Priced at $2,400,000, it is a great value when considering what we have available on Maui. The next door property came on the market the same time and has sold already.
This one actually has some nice beach in front, too, as you can see from this short video I shot. Note the tide was up.
This property shares a garage with the other side with both have a 2 car garage. There is also a studio above the garage with a sink and toilet.
