Popular Maui Attractions & Things To Do

“Hawaii Life is the culmination of over a decade of experience as both a marketing company and top-selling Broker in Hawaii. Everyone who works with us is committed, smart, and connected to their local market (and not everyone works with us).”

— Matt Beall, Principal Broker.

But that’s not all that we are here for. We are here to tell you about Hawaii and help you find the home of your dreams in paradise. I work out of the Wailea office on Maui. So, the information I would like to share with you is about Maui. Maui beaches, hotels, restaurants, and activities have been named #1 many times over the years by Conde Nast and other prestigious companies.

5 Maui Must-Dos

1. One of the most popular things to do when visiting is to take the road to Hana. The important thing to remember is that it’s not really about Hana, it’s about the road that takes you there. There are beautiful waterfalls, wonderful hiking trails, harrowing turns and many 1 lane bridges. Be sure to make it a day trip, as you don’t want to miss any of the wonder and beauty you will see all around you. If you don’t want to make the drive, there are tour groups and helicopter trips as well.

2. At this time of year, and particularly in the last few weeks, a big draw is Jaws. Jaws beach is located in Peahi, Maui. Don’t try to drive in unless you are in a 4-wheel drive vehicle. It’s about a 2 mile walk in from the road and well worth the walk. The big surf was nicknamed Jaws, after the film, because the surf has the unpredictability of a shark!

3. January through March is whale season. You can watch them from the shore or take one of many whale watching trips that leave daily from Ma’alaea and Lahaina. When you go out on a boat trip you will get quite an education about the amazing mammals as well as some amazing photo opportunities.

4. Looking for a place to eat? Maui has everything from award-winning restaurants and famous chefs to our own delicious local cuisine.

5. If you are up for it, don’t miss sunrise from Haleakala. You have to start out very early in the morning, but the time and the drive are well worth getting up in the middle of the night to watch sunrise from the top of a volcano. There’s a website you can visit to get information about the weather forecast for the next sunrise.  Click here for that information

While you are here, come by and say “hi.” We may have your dream home just waiting for you to arrive!

Great tips! I am more interested about watching sunrise from Haleakala. I found information on Haleakala National Park here:

It seems to be a very large area. Could you please suggest me few spots in Haleakala National Park where the most colorful and scenic sunrises can be sighted?
