More Reasons to Love Living in Hawai’i Kai

There are so many reasons for you to love the vibrant community of Hawaii Kai. Located just 20 minutes from Waikiki and on the way to Hanauma Bay, Hawaii Kai is a highly popular waterfront community. Residents and visitors alike enjoy Hawaii Kai’s unique eateries, waterfront dining, locally owned boutiques, and just about every water sport under the sun. It’s an active community and truly a fun place to live. Maunalua Bay, the sparkling marina, the mountains, and the superb weather all add to the appeal.

There are just so many reasons for you to Fall in Love with Hawaii Kai, and here are just two more of my own personal reasons:

 1. The Sunsets!

We love to top off our day by watching the glorious sunsets. There are some great viewing spots, but Maunalua Bay is one of our favorite spots to enjoy the setting of the sun. You can also drive to the Hawaii Kai look out point to get great views of the marina, Diamond Head, and those brilliant read and orange hues.

2. The Sunrises!

We love to head to the Makapu’u Lighthouse trail early in the morning before the sun comes up. It’s about a 2-mile round trip hike and well worth the effort to catch the first rays of the sun and to view the beautiful Ka Iwi Coast, Rabbit Island and the scenic shoreline. And, best of all, you might just get a glimpse of some very majestic humpback whales! Seeing blows, fin slaps, tail slaps, and if you’re lucky, breaching, is absolutely incredible!

Inspiring sunrises and magnificent sunsets may be reason enough to love this special community, but there are so many other reasons for you to call Hawaii Kai Home. Check it out. Truly, Hawaii Kai life has it all!
