Mauna Kea Resort Q1 2024 Market Recap Latest Update: Mauna Kea Beach Hotel Begins $180 Million Renovation

The $180 million renovation project at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is underway. Currently, the main tower, including the lobby, market, stores and 156 rooms, is closed for renovation. Guest reception has been relocated to Number 3 restaurant near the golf club house. The beach wing, comprising of 96 guest rooms to the south of the main tower, remains open for hotel guests.

Dining options include Manta for breakfast and dinner, Copper Bar for grab-and-go items and dinner, and Hau Tree for lunch. The Mauna Kea Golf Course is closed for a significant transformation led by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The redesigned course will combine the innovative designs of Robert Trent Jones Sr. and his sons Reese and Bobby Jr., offering a unique golfing experience

Exciting additions to the hotel include a destination spa and infinity pool with 11 treatment rooms, a full-service salon, and an upgraded fitness center. The renovation is set for completion in early 2025. Stay tuned for live updates on the progress.
