Mauna Kea Honi – Sweet Candy by a Sweet Ohana

It’s great having friends, and even better when you have a friend who makes candy! Debbie Lee is an amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She’s also a candy maker.

Candy making runs in Debbie’s family. Her grandmother started the candy legacy, but it was Debbie’s mom who took their heavenly tasting candy to new heights. Deb’s mom found her grandmother’s old candy recipe in a family bible and she loved sharing the delicious divinity candy with friends and family alike. Debbie’s father encouraged her mom to sell the candy in the stores, on the internet, and eventually worldwide. But, it is Debbie who is making the dream come true today.

“Mauna Kea Peaks Candy Company” became a reality in 2023 as Debbie rebranded to modernize, but even more importantly, to honor her parents’ love story. Yes, there is a sweet and poignant love story behind the candy, and you can learn more about it here.
