Maui County Veteran’s Council Presents Memorial Day at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery

The Maui County Veteran’s Council is honoring Memorial Day with a ceremony at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery in Makawao. Program starts at 8:30 am and will include placement of leis on all the graves of our fallen heroes.  All leis were made by local community members and collected over the past weeks. The ceremony will be held by the Vietnam War Monument and will include a reading of the names of Maui County Veterans who have died in the past year.

I’m sure there will be lots of graduation parties, beach and bbq time with friends and family. If you’re looking for something beyond that, take a peek at some of the events taking place this weekend. Let’s show some support for our island community members offering us all of these great activities as we get back to a more new normal life. 🙂 Have fun and stay safe!
