Aloha friends! We continue celebrating graduates this weekend on Maui. Congratulations to the class of 2025. Besides celebrating our graduates, the island is brimming with festivities to keep you entertained. From cultural celebrations and live music to unique dining experiences and stargazing, there is something for everyone. Here are some highlights to look forward to:
56th Annual Barrio Fiesta
Celebrate Filipino culture this weekend at the 56th Annual Barrio Fiesta. The event will take place on Friday from 5 to 10 pm and Saturday from 10 am – 10 pm at Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center, across from Maui Waena Intermediate School. Admission is free. There will be all kinds of delicious Filipino food including lumpia, bibingka, pork adobo, lechon kawali, pansit, pinakbet and halo-halo. Contests include the Balut Bhallenge, the Barrio Fiesta Voice and Eat da Pansit with cash prizes! More information on the Facebook Event Page or call (808) 242-8100.
Hot Country Nights at Maui Brewing Company Kihei
Celebrate Hot Country Nights this Sunday night at MBC Kihei. Live Country music, delicious food, great bear and more from 8 – 10 pm. A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit the Maui Youth Rodeo Organization. Event held in the beer garden. Doors open at 7 pm. Seating is limited.
Women Rock!
deVine Wine Lounge Maui presents Women Rock! this Sunday from 2 – 9 pm. This will be an event to honor talented and amazing women on Maui.Live performances by Sweet Beets, Margie Heart, Natalie Robles, and Lia Live. Pop-ups for women run businesses on Maui featuring art, jewelry and health and wellness items will be on display for sale from 3 – 7 pm. Rose’ specials from 3 – 8 pm. Head down for a fun event that supports women!
Live Music at Mulligan’s on the Blue
Mulligan’s is one of my favorite places for sunset, dinner and a show. This weekend we have three nights of live music to choose from. Dessert Hello backed by Three to 5 return to the Mulligan’s stage this Friday from 7 – 10 pm. If you missed the collaboration’s magical show back in March, this is your chance to see what the hype was about. Advanced tickets $25-30 and $40 at door. Tempa and Noar play on Saturday. Bluesy-soul and folk music you can dance to from 6 – 8 pm. And finally on Sunday, local favorite Island Soul takes the stage from 5 – 8 pm. Dinner seating starts at 5 pm. Reservations recommended.
West Maui Stargazing Event
Maui Farm Events and Stargazers Anonymous present West Maui Stargazing Event at 700 Punakea Loop in Lahaina this Sunday night. This will be a guided tour of the Hawaiian night sky. Guides will be sharing accessible astronomy concepts and constellation tracing using a Celestron Telescope. Tickets are $95 /$75 Kamaaina. This is a BYOB event! Glassware and ice provided. The 90-minute presentation starts at 8 pm. Check in time is 7:45 pm.
Maui Paddling Hui
The Maui Paddling Hui season is hosting the last race of the season this weekend. The Kai Waa Strong Maliko Race will be held on Saturday. This will be an 8 mile course from Maliko to Kanaha Beach Park.
