Maui Weekend Events – March 1

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui has a great variety of options for you. South Maui Gardens and Kihei Caffe are both hosting comedy shows this Saturday evening. Imua Family services presents Tea for Two in the Discovery Garden Sunday afternoon. Support Maui schools by donating or participating in the Maui 5K this Sunday morning. ProArts Maui brings you Tempa & Naor on Friday night and local favorite Eric Gilliom’s “White Hawaiian” on Sunday afternoon.

Kihei Caffe Comedy Club

Head to the Kihei Caffe at the Maui Coast location for Comedy Club this Saturday night. The show features Eric Hofer and will include some of the best local comedians. Showtime 8:00 pm. Doors open 6:30.

South Maui Gardens – Comedy in the Garden

South Maui Gardens presents Comedy in the Garden this Saturday night. Show features Marc Ryan. Doors open at 5:30. Show starts at 6:30 pm.

Tea for Two at Imua Discovery Garden

Imua Family Services offers a sweet opportunity for some family fun with Tea for Two. Enjoy a lovely tea party in the garden this Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The garden party will include an Earth to sky exhibit, scavenger hunt, book reading, photo opportunity and of course, tea, lemonade and cupcakes. Tickets are $40 and admit one adult and one child.

Maui 5K

Maui Ocean Center sponsors the 13th Annual Maui 5K this Sunday, March 3rd. There will be a timed 5K run/walk as well as an untimed 1-mile walk to allow for inclusivity of our keiki and kupuna. This is a family-friendly event that benefits Maui schools.  This year, you will have the option to designate your entry fees and/or donations to go to “All West Maui Schools affected by the fires.” Besides participating in the 5K, you can offer donation, sponsorships, raffle prizes, and event advertising. Online registration closes on February 27th. Same day registration is open before the race at a higher cost.

ProArts Playhouse Maui

ProArts Playhouse has a great lineup for this weekend. Friday night, Tempa & Naor deliver a dose of music medicine in their Music Medicine Series. Show starts at 7:30 pm and celebrates women in the blues, soul and jazz and features special guest Michael Ferenci. Sunday night you can catch the local favorite Eric Gilliom’s “White Hawaiian”. Start time this week is 3:00 pm.

Maui Calls Next Weekend

Maui Calls was postponed from last August and has been rescheduled to next Saturday March, 9th. This is the MACC’s biggest fundraising effort and is a great evening of wine, food and fun auction items. We will talk more about it next week but wanted to put it out there for you sooner.
