Maui Weekend Events – January 19

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui brings you a nice variety of events to choose from. UB40 kicks of the weekend on Friday night with a concert at the MACC. Saturday morning presents an opportunity to participate and contribute to the healing of Lahaina at the Ho’ulu Lahaina Unity Gathering. The gathering includes a march in solidarity. The 26th Annual Pā‘ia Bay Beachfest takes place this weekend!

Discover Imua partners with Kaiser to put on a baby shower to ensure soon to be parents are as resourced as possible and ready for their keiki. Maui Holistic Fair and Crystal Sale will be at the Wailea Gateway on Sunday. ProArts Maui brings you Daddy Long Legs opening this weekend and running through February 4th. On Sunday night, Eric Gilliom’s “White Hawaiian” takes the stage.

Ho’ulu Lahaina Unity Gathering

Lele Aloha invites us to gather in Lahaina Saturday morning and contribute to the collective healing and Lahaina recovery process. The gathering includes a unity walk that will start at 8 am at the Lahaina Bypass Road and end at Launiopoko Beach. There will be family friendly activities at Launiopoko Beach. Park at Goodfellow Brothers or Lahaina Civic Center. Shuttle service available 6 – 8 am and 3 – 6 pm.

The 26th Annual Pā‘ia Bay Beachfest

Kai Lenny presents the 26th Annual Pā‘ia Bay Beachfest this weekend. Beachfest is a 2 day event taking place Saturday and Sunday. It is a free family friendly event to showcase Maui’s young bodyboarders and surfers. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the first heat is in the water at 8 a.m. The event concludes with an awards ceremony at sunset on Sunday.

UB40

UB40 plays the Alexander & Baldwin Amphitheater this Friday night. Gates open at 5 pm. Show starts 6:30 pm.

Oh Baby! Baby Shower and Garden Show

Discover Imua partners with Kaiser to put on a baby shower in honor of all expectant mothers. There will be fun games, ono food, and loads of prizes to help families prepare for their keiki. Event takes place Saturday afternoon at 3 pm in the beautiful Imua Discovery Garden. Register online.

Maui Holistic Fair & Crystal Sale

Maui Holistic Fair is hosting this Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Wailea Healing Center. Crystals, jewelry and art available for sale. Talented practitioners offering astrology, tarot, akashic readings, bodywork, energy healing, aura photography and more. This is a free event. ProArts Playhouse Maui

Daddy Long Legs opens this Friday night. This musical is based on a 1912 novel by the same name. The show will run through February 4th with performances on the weekends. Showtimes at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 pm on Sunday. Sunday night, you can catch the local favorite Eric Gilliom’s “White Hawaiian”. Start time this week is 7:00 pm.
